Igo (lit., board game of capturing territory) is what some consider to be the Japanese version of chess. Master Narumi Osawa, 4th Rank Igo professional dispatched by the Agency for Cultural Affairs (Bunka-chō) of Japanese government, will give a lecture on the game of Igo. Participants have an opportunity to practice and enjoy Igo as well. Hosted by Dr. Scott Gregory, Asian Studies Program.
