Lecture: “Asia in Three Texts”

Americans work, play, eat, travel and purchase globally; awareness of the intellectual underpinnings of rising Asian nations and cultures is essential to understanding new global realities. The public is invited to a talk led by Professor Wayne Eastman of Rutgers University, “Asia in Three Texts: Understanding East Asia, South Asia and West Asia.” Professor Eastman teaches Business Ethics at Rutgers Business School and has traveled and/or studied work cultures in Asia, Africa, Europe and North America.

The 3 texts to be discussed: Tao Te Ching (East Asia); Bhagavad Gita (South Asia); The Garden of Eden Story (“West” Asia). Thursday, August 25, 8PM at Words, 179 Maplewood Ave, Maplewood, NJ. Light refreshments inspired by the 3 texts will be served.
